The central region of Thailand encompasses 22 provinces and the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. Bangkok is a major SE Asia’s business hub with many international companies and local Thai companies importing and exporting products throughout the world. With over 10 million people residing in the Bangkok area along there is many older and new housing developments from basic housing up to massive estates for some of the wealthiest of Thailand’s residents. There are many condominium developments that provide sales or rental service to Thai’s working in the area and foreign workers and residents. Real Estate companies in Bangkok can provide professional service for locals and people working for international companies looking for permanent or temporary housing. With increasing technology and education in Thailand more people are utilizing the power of the internet to research property availability in Thailand. More professional real estate companies have websites and or use internet advertising to provide property information for people in the market to purchase or rent residential or commercial real estate.

The Land: The region is also known as the heartland. This most fertile part of Thailand produces rice, sugar cane, pineapples, and other fruit products such as Durian. Nature has always been generous to rice farmers and the land tends to stay in the same family for generations.

The People: Thai with Chinese descents are found all over the central region from their earlier settlements as farmers and merchants. Mon and Burmese descents live around the west and Laos and Khmer’s to the east from proximity to neighboring lands over hundreds of years. In the inner part of the central plains however, the faces of the people are less likely to show the imprint of the Chinese, the Lao, the Burmese, the Malay, or the Khmer.

The Dialect: Standard Thai are spoken throughout the region but not without heavy accents.

The Food: The central plain is a network of canals and rivers and orchards. The majority of the meals use fresh water fish, loads of cooked and fresh vegetables, ducks (Chinese ancestors), pork, and chicken. The food flavors here are milder and tend to have a sweeter flavor than most regions. The main stay for almost all meals is steamed rice, which is eaten three times a day.

The culture: For almost 700 years, this region has been producing rice and it has changed very little over the centuries. The very orderly ways of farm life are revolving around family, fields, and basic temple life and seem to continue despite governments and politics and the rise and fall of cities. The people enjoy their religious festivals, but the cerebrated festivals are observed with restraint, sacred air.
